The highest mountain is laccolith in the area of the Caucasian Mineral Waters. According to legend, this is the Beshtau warrior, whom Father Elbrus cut into five pieces for his love for the beautiful Mashuk. The mountain has five peaks, and its slopes offer impressive views of the entire region.
